Hi! Welcome to mvPhotos.org: a website that made the exposure to the light of day as a result of my new-found appreciation and fascination with photography. For over a year I owned a dSLR (Canon 350D) without realizing what a great piece of modern-day instrument of precision electronics I had lying in a bag tucked away and seldom used.

Today I am learning about the concepts of photography and it is this journey from complete ignorance towards attaining knowledge about this wonderful field that has made this website possible. Like many of you I do not aspire to become a professional in the field, but merely enjoy photo-taking as a hobby.

The content on this website will be primarily about the concepts and techniques of photography and post-processing. And since I have found the work of many pros as well as hobbyist simply awe-inspiring, I plan to include their profiles and interviews - including what gear they use etc. There is, of course, more and in time it will all come about.

I know there are great many websites out there where we can stop over for the dose of great photography related article but there is no website with a specific focus on aspiring photographers from the Maldives. So I hope this website will fill that gap.

And yeah, if you are interested in contributing to this site I will be more than happy to hear from you. Just simply introduce yourself in an email and send it to simonshareef (at) gmail (dot) com. Or use the contact form on this site. I will then create a user for you so that you can make posts on this site.
